Anif Peak Snowshoe

Anif Peak looks heavenly with clouds hovering over

Anif Peak
Squamish, BC

Anif Peak is located near Squamish, north of Sky Pilot and east of Stawamus Chief.

William, Dorian and I decided to snowshoe up Anif Peak. We drove to Squamish from Vancouver, and on to the Mamquam River 7m FSR taking us to the trailhead.

We geared up and started at 8am with the morning sun out and clear skies. Snow began right from the start of the trailhead, so we snowshoed all the way.

The first 4 kms was steady and not so steep elevation. From there, the trail started to get steep and snow was a little unstable. Dorian lead the way and zigzagged up while William and I followed along.

As we reached the 3/4 mark, the fog and clouds settled in and we only had a small window of views every few moments. After resting a bit on the flat spot 1 km before the peak, we continues our plow up for 10 mins to reach the summit.

In just under 3 hours, we made it to the summit and spent about half hour there. Although the views were covered by clouds, we had some glimpse of views.
